Head Coach Nomination Information

Eligibility

Nominee is eligible either as an active or retired coach. Nominee should have completed a minimum of 25 years as high school coach in the state of Washington.

Nomination Process

Methods of appealing for nomination will be through the Washington State Coaches Association, the W.I.B.C.A. newsletter or through the District and League Representatives or personal contact.

The nominator should be a current basketball coach in the state of Washington.

Deadline for submitting nominations will be by September 1st of each year.

A nominator may nominate one nominee per year.

Nominator includes his present address(school and home) and phone number (school and home).

Nomination will be mailed to the Hall of Fame Chairman Three (3) letters of recommendation.

Biographical Information about Nominee

This information is important for news releases and records.

Head Coach Nomination form

Correct spelling of first, middle, and last name; and nickname if applicable.

List present address (including mailing and street).

List home phone number including area code.

List confirmed email address of nominee.

Give reason why nominated.

List of coaching accomplishments. Example would be:

  1. Name of schools and years coached
  2. Number of finishes in top four of league
  3. Number of teams qualified for state tournaments or number of regional playoffs.
  4. Number of League, District, State Championships
  5. Number of winning seasons
  6. Total varsity won loss record
  7. Comments or notable achievements from players, administrators, parents, and/or opposing coaches about nominee.

Selection Procedure

Nomination must be received or postmarked by by September 1st.

Hall of Fame Chairman will forward biographies to all Board of Control members upon receipt.

The W.I.B.C.A. Board of Control will make the selection for Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame Chairman will notify the person selected to the Hall of Fame as soon as possible.
